SAN ANGELO — A Canadian-based oilfield company is building a “state of the art” location in San Angelo and looking to hire 10 people, according to a San Angelo Chamber of Commerce news release.
Allen’s Transport, based in western Canada, began working with the city 2 years ago to create a location in the San Angelo Business & Industrial Park. The facility is a 25,000 square foot multi-building terminal, which will hold heavy haul truck bays, offices, maintenance areas and materials storage, according to the release.
“Allen’s Transport…is the type of high-quality, sustainable development that we like to see,” said Guy Andrews, director of the City of San Angelo Development Corporation. “I anticipate that, with the current expansion of the Business & Industrial Park, that we will see many more developments like Allen’s Transport moving to San Angelo. They are definitely pace setters in our post COVID-19 economy.”
The transportation company consists of oilfield, petrochemical, mining, pulp and paper, industrial, refinery and generator stations. It is looking to hire 10 people, with plans to hire another 10 in future, according to the release.
