ALPENA, Mich –Presque Isle Electric & Gas construction crews have begun preparing to move operations from their old building to a new state–of–the–art facility.

Crews have almost completed laying the underground water main as well as sanitary and storm utilities.

According to the organization’s CEO Tom Sobeck, the approximate 22-million-dollar project will generate a significant tax revenue for Onaway.

Sobeck also said their mission is to provide reliable and affordable energy, other services and improve quality of life for its members.

It is not confirmed when the project will be completed but Sobeck is confident it will help accomplish their mission.
