DENVER, May 14 (Reuters) – The Colonial Pipeline is shipping at normal rates, based on nominations from shippers, a spokeswoman for the company said on Friday evening.

The pipeline, which supplies about 45% of the fuel consumed by the U.S. East Coast, restarted on Thursday after a disruptive cyber attack shut the system for six days. The outage has sparked panic buying and sent the average national gasoline price to its highest since October 2014. (Reporting by Liz Hampton in Denver; Editing by Leslie Adler)
